-
- My sincere apologies to any and all of you who may have had difficulty accessing the
- latest version of the contents page for Al's Winsock Tuning FAQ. It's now back to it's
- old conservative (and, I hope, trouble-free) format.
-
- In an attempt to add a little cosmetic appeal for users of Netscape Navigator 2.0, I
- introduced a table format that (I thought) looked pretty good with that browser and
- with Netmanage's WebSurfer, and was acceptable with Microsoft's Explorer 1.6.
-
- Unfortunately, based on E-Mail questions I received, it appears that some of your
- browsers gagged on it. When I checked with my old trusty Netscape 1.22, it looked
- mis-aligned; and when I tried to print the page with Navigator 2.01, it crashed my
- system.
-
- If anyone would like to offer some hints on the correct use of tables, I'd be grateful,
- but in the mean time, I've dropped "sex appeal" for useability.
-
- Sorry for the foul-up.
-
- Al
